Rosman José García (January 3, 1979 – December 29, 2011) was a Venezuelan relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 2003 through 2004 for the Texas Rangers. Listed at 6' 2", 215 lb., he batted and threw right handed.〔(Baseball Reference - major league profile )〕 In part of two seasons, García posted a 1–2 record with 30 strikeouts and a 5.94 ERA in 53 innings pitched.〔(Retrosheet.com – major league statistics )〕 On June 16, 1999, García became the first starting pitcher in Staten Island Yankees history. In 2008, he pitched for the Mexico City Red Devils of the Mexican League. In 14 starts, he was 4–5 with a 5.15 ERA and 44 strikeouts.〔(BR Bullpen biography )〕 Originally, García debuted at age 18 with the Tigres de Aragua of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League during the 1997–1998 season.
